Bouldering is a form of rock climbing that is performed on small rock formations (2-5 meters tall), known as boulders, without the use of ropes or harnesses. Instead, climbers use bouldering crash pads to prevent injuries from falls, as well as climbing shoes and chalk on hands to secure a firm grip. The climber is called to solve a bouldering problem at a low safe height and find the sequence of moves to perform in order to complete the climbing route.
